About The Event

In a world that is increasingly designed around products; we play for  Experience, we play for Spirit, we play for Soul. A performance is a  conversation, a portal leading all present into deeper connection with  life consciousness. There is no comparison between audience and  performer. Music is proof of the energies that bind us together;  vibrations of the true language that knows no boundaries. Open questions  and challenges, knowing that change brings discomfort. There is much to  be learned in this grave re-paradigm. All of us are creative. All of us  are composers. Everything we’ve done has brought us to this moment.  Thank you for being with us. You are wanted and needed.

Musicians:  JesseGarcia • KeenanStory • RavenSwing

raven swings bio: Raven  has toured and  performed nationally with Polyphony Marimba since a young age and has  been steeped in music in a professional setting. He has composed music  that has been enjoyed by many and even taught to a few other marimba  groups around the US.  As he gets older, he is  influenced especially by musicians with intricate lyrics, emotionally  charged chord changes, and fluid drum patterns, notably King Krule,  Hiatus Kaiyote, and D’angelo. Forming Anna Lionz is a realization of  these musical influences with musicians that Raven has played with for  over a decade.

jesse garcias bio: Jesse Garcia grew up in  Santa Fe, New Mexico, studying classical piano at 9  Over the course of his youth he  studied flute, cello, Zimbabwean marimba, voice, and guitar. After only  1.5 years of study he became the principal cellist for the Santa Fe  Youth Symphony and subsequently placed 5th in the New Mexico All-State  competition. He  directed/co-directed The Ande Marimba Band - one of the premier  Zimbabwean Marimba bands in the US!  His intricate fingerstyle guitar, smooth voice, and vulnerable  lyrics are most frequently likened to James Taylor and John Denver.  Jesse's broad influences imbue his music with classical phrasings and  technique along with world rhythm and syncopation.

keenan story bio: Keenan got his formal music education from the New Mexico School for the Arts. Keenan won the Youth Symphony concerto competition, and placed 3rd in the Lawrence University Concerto Competition.  Keenan went on to receive a Bachelor of Music from Lawrence University and studied with Bill Carrothers and Jose Encarnacion. Keenan has performed locally with the Alex Murzyn Quintet.  His first record “Pathway” will be out in January.
