A concert and dance party to celebrate the release of Ishi’s debut recording project. Recent winner for “Best Song” in the Native American Category (NM Music Awards) Featuring opening blessing by Madi Sato.

Ishi is an emerging indigenous singer of Japanese Ainu and Taos Pueblo lineages. Despite her youth, her voice is already mesmerizing and ranges from rich earthy tones to etheric shrill calls. Her music, both tribal and cosmic, is original and built from scratch, the old way. To hear Ishi is to glimpse the future of music: the excitement of new unexplored terrain and the comfort of solid soulful artistry.
