Round Mountain @ Paradiso
Naming themselves after a peak in the Pecos Wilderness where they played as children, Round Mountain describes their music as "Roots Music for a 21st Century Audience." Starting as buskers in the 2004 Santa Fe Farmers' Market, the brothers released four albums and toured nationally together.

About The Event
They returned to the stage last year and will offer this show as their summer performance for
2023. They will be joined for one set by veteran Santa Fe bassist Jon Gagan.
After Round Mountain had released their first self-titled album in 2004, Gagan helped the brothers
emerge into American college radio with a unique sound starting with their 2007 release, Truth and
Darkness. Although touring for the band has remained national and regional, their music did find some
resonance internationally, and they garnered the following review from Jeff Kaliss in the UK Magazine
Songlines in 2007: "It’s earopening to hear these entrancing tales in English about love and the road and
the mystical aspects of Mother Nature, accompanied by percussion from Africa and South America,
strings from Mali and Turkey, and reeds from the Balkans, alongside the more familiar guitar, trumpet,
and accordion. But this wouldn’t be able to work its wonders were not the Rothschilds such skilled
multiinstrumentalists, ably assisted by bass player Jon Gagan."
